Tauriem
The capital of Cragmir, a large city with a population of about twenty thousand, located in the grasslands of the Ruhand Valley. The most notable feature of the city is Gelfon castle in the northernmost part of the city. Directly south of it is the commercial hub of the city, and indeed of all Cragmar. Street merchants can be found in abundance, as well as all manner of shops and taverns. The north east is primarily older residential homes, it was the first part of Tauriem to be built, and the homes are modest by sturdy. The west and north west slowly fade from commerce into farmland, as buildings become sparser and fields of wheat and barley begin to appear. The east features the city’s largest teleportation circle and, as the city is landlocked, tends to serve as the unofficial foreign “port” of the city, particularly for Dravarian traders. The south east is the primary residential area of the affluent and influential, many wishing to live nearest to the main roads leading to Dravaria and Zalain. The quality of housing diminishes from east to west in southern Tauriem, concluding with the slums at the far south eastern district of the city.
