They say there is no worse disease of the mind and the soul than the lust of the living to leave the bounds of the eternal cycle. Ever the unreachable goal, the glass ceiling that laudes over all creation and created. For the possibilities are endless when one becomes so. However, it is not a gift granted often or commonly, given only by the true gods as a gift to those who know them, Immortality is the releasing of a soul from the cycle of life and death.
Immortality is one of the few tricks of Divine beings who know the truth of the universe and everything within it.
History
As many topics that surround the mysterious powers of New Eden seem to dissapear from consciousness, such has the idea of Immortality been suppressed and made incredibly hard to track. From myths and religious propaganda as well as leaked documents (as controversial as their inclusion may be) such as Pierre Rosenthal sketchbooks from the before-times and his observations therein it can be deduced that the first Immortal was either Pierre Rosenthal himself or the reincarnation of Nina Amaya. Although the idea of Nina's reincarnation holds as a secondary frayed edge to the idea of concrete history with a heavy debate over whether she is, or is not the same person she was, the widely agreed - and confirmed by the state of New Eden - truth is that His Luminescence Petteri Ivanovich Rosenthal himself.
From this inciting incident the cases of immortality and the extended lifespans of those close to the Emperor Cassian Rosenthal seemed to increase in extreme numbers. It is said from this point, in New Eden there was a new Era and a new class of people was made.
