OVERVIEW:

Gothmyr-wide adventuring company with over 30 guildhalls and members both in and from every nation in the known world. Current Guildhall is in the Fort Regna Settlement in the Wildreach.

GUILD HISTORY:

Founded by three retired adventurers, one of which is the current Guildmaster, Evan Von Drakswald, The Shining Shield was formed to give new adventurers a group to aspire to, and often times give a Good-aligned guide through the world of Edus. Penner Mynth, Dukshan Volare' and Evan Von Drakswald all were original.

MEMBERSHIP:

Members must be adventurers or mercenaries of some renown. Anyone who wishes to join must go through a rigorous testing period. First, they must find and have a Representative or "Guide" by an already established member. They must then speak within the ceremony room, declaring their claims to be written by the Shield's Chronicler. Then they recite the tenants of the Shield. Finally, they sign the Book of Shields and swear loyalty to the Shield and their brethren.
Membership fees are 2 gold a fortnight, unless on a mission. Any mission taken from the Shining Shield itself, gives 25% profits back to the Company. Anytime a shield is sent to a member, (usually a small miniature emblem) they are required to immediately return to the main headquarters for something official. (This is usually a voting need, or the individual is being ordered under trial).

LOCATION OF OPERATIONS:

Current location of the main headquarters of the Shining Shield is in the remote jungle fort, theFort Regna Settlement.

2. Honesty and loyalty to the Shining Shield Adventuring Co. first.
3. Never steal from another member, Nor steal from the Shining Shield Adventuring Co.
4. Do nothing outside to sully the Shield's Honor or Name.

CURRENT RUMORS:

The Adventuring Co. is evil and is plotting against the crown.

Colonel Regna uses the Shining Shield to murder traitors and those who are disloyal.

The Officers of the Shield work for an Evil cult, to overthrow this fort.

The Shield knows a location of a vast emerald hoard, and keeping it for themselves.

The Shield is here to help hide artifacts from the Crown using Regna to hide behind.

The Shield sends adventurers out to find monsters to sell to colleges for money.
