The Chosen of Rasfor are a rare and unique specialty priesthood. Being both a wizard, and a priest to the God of Magic gives a sort of 'double down' when it comes to magical effects or abilities. The Chosen of Rasfor are the few who know the name Rasfor is a shortened "humanized" version of the true name of the deity that guards the Source. Being a Chosen is a hard life. it is one of Prayer AND Study. The abilities of a Chosen can soon outweigh the powers of the rest of a party and even be able to replace multiple party members if they fall. Chosen may wear any armor up to and including Leather armor, studded leather or hide. They may not wield a shield, but can use helms and magical protection. All magical protection on a Chosen stack their benefits, regardless of rules for non-Chosen. Magic is a part of their nature, their way of life, and nothing is barred that is magical for the Chosen.
- Race Requirements/barring: Any non dwarf or non magic using or race with less than tribal culture.
- Their spell book becomes their holy symbol.
- They gain the additional priest spells from their high wis score.
- They gain additional wizard spells that is from the same chart used for their high wis score.
- Any memorized wizard spell may be dropped at any time for a priest prayer spell of the same level.
- Special Powers granted:
- A chosen can telepathically communicate with paladins of Palin.
- At 1st level can cast Detect Magic at will with 10 minutes of concentration on a single item. A door or a chest, or a sword.
- At 1st level, Chosen are granted Orisons and Cantrips at 2x the amount of their Int or Wis/ day.
- At 2nd level, Chosen gain the ability to Firebolt, a blue flame projectile at their Thac0 for 1/3rd their INT score in damage. They can throw 2 bolts per turn at 6th level.
- At 3nd level they can pray for 10 minutes on an item and use a form of Legend Lore on an item. their % is 10x1/2 their level in Cleric.
- At 4th level the Chosen gain the ability to "Spell Customization". One attribute in a 1st level spell (Arcane or Devine) may be maxed. when cast.
- At 5th level They gain the ability to Turn magically summoned or outsider creatures. Their Abjure ability will be at -2 the level of a normal turn undead cleric, but for magical creatures. (Abjuration)
- At 5th Level Chosen can speak to All Fey, and magical creatures. Whether they respond kindly, is not within your control.
- At 6th level the Caster can free cast Identify 3/day without material components. Time and physical cost still is in effect.
- At 6th level the Chosen can scribe scrolls. This is done at the expense of their XP and any material costs.
- At 7th level they can create minor magical item. This is done at the expense of their XP and any material costs.
- At 8th level the Chosen have the ability to cast any one spell of 1st level wizard or cleric spell (PC's choice) a number of times at 1/2 their level, outside of their spells per day.
- At 9th level the Chosen must build a Tower of Study, or help in building a church of knowledge for Rasfor, to further their studies.
- At 9th level Can Identify magical items at will.
- At 10th level the Chosen can dispel any illusion.
- At 12th level the Chosen can dispel any Arcane spell up to level 4 auto succeeding.
- No magic should be destroyed. Magic can be contained, hidden, or protected, but never destroyed.
- Dispelling magic is fine, but you MUST cast an arcane spell within a day, or lose cleric spells until atoned.
- Finding new spells and magic is a gospel, but it must be used or gifted onto someone who will use it.
- Cursed magic items are not to be destroyed. They must be taken to a tower for cleansing.
- Good magic creatures or outsider creatures of good must be protected and encouraged. This is your fellowship.
- In towns, your free time must be spent casting spells and prayers for the less fortunate. You may inspire a young wizard.
- Shadow magic is against the Source and an affront of Rasfor. Destroying shadow magic is not a sin.
- Magical undead are still undead, their magic is from the Demiplane of Shadow. Again, not a sin to destroy.
- Curate and copy books of knowledge and research. Share these with the Arcane community.

On a 20, the firebolt does double damage and creature must make a save vs magic or be at a -2 to attack until the chosen's next turn.
