Do No Touch

What is taboo or dishonourable in cultures of your world?
Physical contact is to be agreed upon in advance by all parties.
It is taboo to touch an unmarried Barbarian woman. It doesn't matter the sex/gender of the toucher. She will tell you it is because she doesn't know where your hands have been. But really, it could be any number of things, together or individually:

• She doesn't like it/you.
• She is on her Moon.
• She is training for any number of things, and cannot be distracted by others lest the lesson(s) be wasted.
• She is hunting, and now you've alerted her prey.
• Some women believe the touch to be an invitation to a to-first-blood fight. There will not be a chance to arm yourself before the first strike.
• Some Elders see an unwed female being touched, especially innocently, as a betrothal and that if she doesn't reciprocate, she may need correcting. Or expulsion.
