The Mask of the Dragon Queen
Lore Overview
The Mask of the Dragon Queen was first created in Era 1, 1223 by the Cult of the Dragon after a party of adventurers failed to stop them from summoning Tiamat using the mask. The mask is a potent magical artifact that is viewed by worshippers of Tiamat as one of the most important items that can be wielded by the champions of the Dragon Queen. The mask is currently used by the High Priest of the Cult of the Dragon, a human mage named Severin by virtue of Tiamat's grace.Significance
This mask, itself the result of two to five of the chromatic masks associated with Tiamat being brought together, is a potent arcane and divine magical item. It gives its wearer a number of powers and abilities, though it is most noted for being used in rituals that directly affect the goddess Tiamat. It was used by the Cult of the Dragon to summon Tiamat to the material plane. The mask also holds some religious importance to worshippers of Tiamat and members of the Cult of the Dragon.
