Orcus's Despoilers

History

Orcus's Despoilers were once an ordinary adventuring band, led by the holy paladin Corbin Syksy. Corbin was an eladrin who was cursed with vampirism. It was originally his quest to remove this affliction and save himself from damnation, though now with Orcus as his demonic god he has chosen to embrace this curse and has since become a death knight. The other members of Orcus's Despoilers are Taro; the wood elf druid, Finnon; the high elven warrior-artificer, Floon; the red dragonborn paladin of vengeance, Ang; the wood elf monk, Eli; the half-elven master archer, and Hlog Glog; the bugbear battlemaster. All of these heroes were slain by their leader, Corbin, after he became an oathbreaker in service to Orcus after they destroyed the citadel of Tchian-Sumere in the plane of negative energy and liberated the Orcusword with the intent to slay Orcus with his own weapon. The weapon slowly corrupted Corbin with whispered promises of power and, after renouncing his god and oath, he turned on his allies, killing them all and raising them as sentient undead in service to Orcus. The group of undead warriors now roam Vukeron, slaying the living and raising the dead.
