Kradarmorket
Geography
A massive, circular continent - approximately 10,000 miles from north to south and east to west, Kradarmorket contains nearly all of the extremes of geography, ranging from volcanic plains to glacial mountains. The entirety of the continent is encircled by a rocky wasteland known as the Rock Wastes of the Outremer that closes the more vibrant lands inside. The north of the continent contains a frozen waste covered by many mountains known as the Frigid Husk of Guluguthar. To the southwest of the frozen wastes is a region called Vulkar's Breath; a volcanic plain whose surface is pockmarked by volcanoes and mountains. Between the volcanic plains and the frozen wastes is a cesspool of disease called the Iasmoian Swamps. East of the swamps is a region called the Wildland Thicket. The thicket is a massive jungle, north of which lays the gargantuan Dumar Lake. South of the thicket is the Steppes of Szenrond. West of the steppes is a hilly region known as the Metallic Foothills, so-called both for its idyllic hilly plains as well as its abundance of metallic dragonoids. Finally, to the far south of the continent, is the Desert of Adriok wherein lays a sea of vast dunes and bleached bones. Scattered around the mainland are many small islands that are also inhabited by the creatures of Kradarmorket.
Also of note is a megastructure that dominates the continent. Directly in the realm's center stands an almighty white spire, reaching far up beyond the clouds. Made of an indeterminable material, the spire, known as the Eye of Kradarmorket to the continent's inhabitants, has three sets of miles-wide stairs leading into it, though none dare to enter the spire and none have ever been seen to leave.
Localized Phenomena
Being home to many legendarily powerful dragons, a number of smaller, localized effects and weather phenomena may occur by the lairs of the great dragons. It is not unheard of for volcanic eruptions to spew such great quantities of ash to block the sun for a time, nor is it rare for particularly mighty winds to blow frost southwards or to send the heat of the scorching desert north.
History
Most of the continent's ancient history has been lost as the dragons of prehistory have been by and large slain or otherwise lost. For as long as those living can remember, the dragonborn have been split into their own petty kingdoms that each war with one another for small territorial and economical gains that are soon lost in a different war or to a raiding dragon, creating stagnancy and a state of conflict between the main powers of the continent. The lizardfolk mainly live in the swamp, desert, and jungle, with hundreds of clans serving different masters. The kobolds, generally serving as little more than slaves to their dragon overlords, have been recently united in their faith by the hero-god Rocktooth Bearhide. In the 200 years since his ascension, the priesthood has managed to form a kobold kingdom in the Lands Below, with the main entrances to their cave kingdom being found in fortified positions in the Wildland Thicket. Under the guidance of their Priest-Kings, the Free Kingdom of Koboldkind has managed to thrive. The dragonspawn, a race created by either sorcerous dragons with guidance from Tiamat in the case of the Tiamati Dragonspawn, dragon priests with the aid of Bahamut in the case of the Ascendant Dragonborn, or by the conviction and rage of fanatical dragon paladins under the supervision of Varahosst in the case of the Violated Dragonblood, are consistently found engaged in battles with one another as well as the dragons and servants of gods that their deity opposes and thus have little culture or history beyond warfare and conflict.
Of note is the fact that the existence of the continent is unknown to all except those who were born on it except in some exceedingly rare cases. This is because the ancient ancestors of the inhabitants of the continent swore to never reveal its existence to outsiders to eliminate the interference of outsiders in the politics, conflicts, and other happenings of Kradarmorket. Though some leave the continent to adventure and explore, they either swear a vow to not speak of the continent to outsiders to have the memory of the place suppressed or entirely erased. Thus far, none have dared to break the policy of isolation as dictated by the honor of their ancestors.
