Bastion of the Flame

Purpose / Function

The Bastion of the Flame serves as the main base of Eriksson's Illuminators. All of the holy warriors in the order eat, sleep, train, and live within the keep.

Defenses

The Bastion of the Flame has a number of defenses. First and foremost are the thick basalt walls that protect the entirety of the keep in a square pattern. The more extravagant defenses of the keep include a moat of lava, ballistae magically enchanted to shoot flames, a griffon roost, and a number of bound fire elementals.

History

The Bastion of Flame was built by dwarven architects and builders at the behest of Leif Eriksson prior to his ascension. It was built upon the ruins of an orcish keep that was destroyed by the Crimson Dragons.
