Skirmishes between Eskelia's and Earth's Forces

Skirmishes break out between the EFF and Eskelian Military when several civilian ships are shot down.

While it isn't sure who it was that fired the first shot, four civilian passenger ships were shot out of sky using the planets surface to orbital batteries. These ships, which each carried forty people each, crashed into the planets oceans with no chance of survivors.   EFF ships in orbit, witnessing this attack, attempted to take out the batteries but were unable to get close enough to the surface to do any real damage due to the batteries themselves blanketing the sky with fire. Instead, the EFF sent in their infantry; this forced the local government respond as natives were now under threat of attack by an occupation force.
