Pact of Life
The Pact of Life is where a mage is able to bring a deceased individual back into the mortal realm by binding their soul to a heart stone. In order for the deceased however to be able to live, part of that soul has to be bound as well to the person who requested the pact. Due to this, both individuals have to remain within a certain distance of one another, otherwise the pacted individuals physical body will dissipate and they’ll return to the stone.
This works by visiting the Tree of Life, a location considered sacred and religious to Mages, and then using an item that once belonged to the deceased person to bring their soul into the living realm. From here, that person has to decide whether they *want* to be brought back or wait until their rebirth. If a person has already been reborn into the world, then their soul will not be summoned to the Tree of Life.
Purpose
The Pact of Life is considered a form of Pseudo Revival and intended to allow a deceased person to be brought back to life, that person can't really do much in the real world however.
