Magical Thread

Magical Thread is created by combining the silk of several species of spiders together, this is a process that can take months or even years as the spiders needed for this process are only found in certain areas of the world. Because of this, the thread is highly sought after and costs a lot in order to import. The unique properties of this thread make it so that when woven into clothing it creates a localized barrier around the individual that can protect them from harmful spells. It is also capable of repelling a small amount of tainted kai.

Material Characteristics

When unrefined, it has a white and brown appearance which can be dyed during refinement.
In a refined state, the silk takes on the color of whatever dye is used.

Physical & Chemical Properties

The silk is cool to the touch, but also somewhat sticky as well when in an unrefined state.
After refinement, the stickiness goes away.

Life & Expiration

The silk has a life-expectancy of 16 years.

Odor

Has a somewhat burnt smell when unrefined.
