Bind

Bind is a spell designed to lock a target in place, preventing them from moving. It is a basic spell meant for defense, though it can also be used for offense.

Effect

The type of effects the spell gives off vary considerably from one person to another and is based upon their magical affinity. Sometimes, it can give off a blue ribbon, other times a green strain. The visual appearance can be many.

Side/Secondary Effects

By itself there are no secondary effects, other than keeping the target from being able to move; however, if combined with certain types of spells, then those effects can be anything.
