The Voodoo Goetia
Not Yet Found
Voodoo Magic is the most taboo magic of all. Rooted in the ancient traditions of spiritual communion, it grants its practitioners a connection to the ethereal realm and the primal forces that govern existence. Voodoo, however, is not without its perils and forbidden depths. Among its facets lies the forbidden art of necromancy, delving into the realms of death and invoking spirits best left undisturbed. The Fates themselves have placed a sacred prohibition on the use of necromantic arts, recognizing the potential for imbalance, corruption, and disruption of the natural order. Dark magic, a treacherous path, harnesses malevolent energies, corrupting hearts and souls. Manipulation magic, a dangerous domain, grants control over the minds and bodies of others, breaching the sacred boundaries of free will. Hexes, wielded by voodoo practitioners, invoke potent curses, bringing forth misfortune upon their targets. Sacrificial magic, an ethically murky path, requires the offering of life force or souls, inviting cosmic repercussions and unsettling the balance of the world. And then there is the perilous art of summoning dark forces, beckoning forth demons from shadowy realms. These beings, with their insidious powers, demand caution, for their presence brings forth chaos and invites the relentless pursuit of darkness.
Limitations
Practitioners must navigate treacherous waters with utmost care, recognizing the grave consequences that await those who misuse or abuse these forbidden arts. Forbidden Arts: The use of Necromancy, as well as mind or body control for criminal purposes, is strictly prohibited. Violators will be brought before the Goetia, the overseers of Vesuvia, and face severe punishment, including the possibility of the death penalty. Voodoo magic users are bound by their own capabilities. Summoning the wrong entity or casting faulty hexes can result in disastrous consequences, potentially backfiring on the user themselves. Mastery and understanding of the craft are necessary to avoid such pitfalls. Moral Consequences: The casting of larger spells or powerful rituals may require sacrifices. Voodoo magic users must grapple with the moral implications of such acts, knowing that the choices they make can have far-reaching effects on their own conscience and the world around them.
