Fragmentation

To give the necessary context to what the Fragmentation was and meant we need to examine the world as it was before it. All from the strange tales of giant serpents roaming the oceans to rituals to align the stars, the time before the Fragmentation was in a peculiar way comparatively hectic than presently with magic being less straining but more complicated to gather into powerful incantations.

Lone plateu

Before what we know today as the "Magaan Crater", were vast plains with slight increases and decreases in height before almost right in the middle of the continent a plateu carved with canyons and cracks. It is said caves were dug out within these canyons and that is where elvenkind began. It is likewise where the first magical spell places its origin. The tale passed down to how magic was first discovered was that during a dance inside a cave. Some early elves made sounds, genstures and even drawings to celebrate, all of which tickled the deep magic and produced a flare in the flames. The elves became ever more intriguied by this happenstance and tried increasingly more elaborate gestures, sounds and even materials for drawings. It always produced different results. Thankfully elves are known for documenting experiments even at this early age and therefore a few records have survived on how to conduct these early spells. The spells draw power from The Deep Magic of the world instead of through the Magnitic Field and Eius Mundi. The drawback is the strength is directly tied to how elaborate and long the ritual to cast the spell is.
The Deep Magic
The Deep Magic came from the what we now know is The Divine Goddesses of Magic, Magila and Wyrd, maintaining an interconnected weave of energy. This weave is perhaps not so strangely intertwined with all aspects of nature, magical flora and fauna all utilize the weave to continuously recharge their magical effects. Some materials coming from these animals still regain their magical traits, which is why they are often used in rituals to more directly steer the flow of magic to achieve a more directly predictable result. A scale or nail of a fiery creature will make the spell cast contain elements relating to heat or flames likewise a drop of goo from a slime will make the resulting spell's properties adhesive or restraining.   Its connection to nature is why druids were the first magical casters to appear. They were first elves that gathered herbs and slayed beasts to harvest materials potent with energy to amplify their rituals. Shamans of their respective tribes that could bring rain to dry soil and heat in their hearths. The respect and political sway of Druids became ever increasing and the few who mastered the secrets of the Deep Magic founded a school for only the gifted to attend. The book The Land of Willows by Poppy Clavorica explains the legacy the school brought.
First encounter
Tsor, the One, God and The Watcher in Void. It came to have many names, all depending on where it was seen. For clarities sake this text will refer to it as Tsor.   Tsor was a being shrouded in mystery, beyond even the Gods and Goddesses responsible for several aspects of reality. Tsor was simply beyond reality, even when Tsor willingly assumed form to interact with people it is described as a ethereal vessel that resembles an eldritch mimicry of the person being observed. Trying to comprehend its mind and secrets were met with sickness and delusion, whole groups of ritual casters drowned in their own wallow and sin for possessing knowledge not compatible with any soul based in our reality. Tsor's intentions was equally as enigmatic, some were helped to form a deeper connection with the inherent magic within themselves and some were quite literally erased from existence never to be seen again. The rhyme or reason for Tsor's actions were simply guesses. Tsor never elaborated and vanished after the deeds were done. An accepted theory states that Tsor's unpredictable actions caused a divide between people, groups formed that either opposed its existence or supported it, which ultimately sparked a conflict aptly named Arcnamediam or the rough translation in today's Magosi "Magical Stupid War".   This war raged for countless years in the surrounding areas around the plateu, many of which owe their names because of battles fought in those times. In deep secrecy an order had been preparing ever since the start of the conflict, channeling magic continuesly in a ritual so elaborate it had no forseeable end. We know what the order was and what they did, because our presence today is owed to them in a peculiar way. But I would personally find myself to be an uncaring husk if I didn't also mention that what they achieved had far more than "disasterous" consequences. Existence itself may be threatened.

The Ritual that shook reality

Previously mentioned the order in question that brought upon disaster was the Ordera Tsoroccicera. An order dedicated to see Tsor wither and die, as they believed a being outside of reality and beyond the whims of the gods had no right to dictate who can exist and not, whoever gets magic prowess or boundless wisdom and knowledge. We only know of a single name accociated with the order and that is Thelaria Dorne. That name might not ring any bells for most commonfolk as she is most often refered by her alias, Vesper "Elaha of the Red Dunes" Solsand. Alive and well even today, she strides the desert as a vigilante in constant pursuit. The knowledge about the order and the ritual she might possess is simply too valuable. The texts and written down shards of the time hold little if any conhesion. As an example of the complete ignorance of the fabled ritual we know of a few steps of it, but where in the ritual they were done and how many times is unknown, thus the significance of the steps can only be speculated upon. Some steps and their proposed purpose is shown in the table below:
hello Craft soap and expand it to form a bubble to trap any and all smoke and vapor
hello Take the Crown of the Most Esteemed king and impale a bean on one of it's points
hello Take all of the hair on your body and burn it to create incense that has to stay in the area of the ritual (all who are part of the ritual must complete this step)
hello Argue how the ritual is made and conducted for a single day, half way through the day begin screaming
hello Hold a singular note of music for 36 hours uninterrupted as whistling (does not need to be done by a single individual)
hello hello
hello hello
hello hello
hello hello
hello hello
hello hello
