The Hushed

Based within the Wizel desert and Grimelda, the Hushed is a criminal organization that is known for its assassinations and thievery across Eden. Originating from Wizels desert during the end of the CE, a young human lady named Nomad (No - maud) and a band of 5 friends made a reputation for stealing and kidnapping, which gained the attention of another big syndicate, the Malkadan (scourge of the desert). They agreed to work under them and their leader, Jamal, a dragon born. over a couple of years, the group's reputation and fame grew within the syndicate, and seeing this, Jamal feared that they would take over, so he ordered some operatives to kill them.   The group was out in the desert when the ambush happened, with over a dozen elite assassins descending upon them. Nomad and her group survived, except her best friend, who saved her from an arrow aimed at her head. Vowing revenge, Nomad and her group set out for the capital, where Jamal resided. It didn't take long for news of Jamal's death to spread across the criminal underworld in the desert, and many were shocked for someone like him died in an uncharacteristic manner. Witnesses stated that he was head over heels for this woman he encountered at the bazaar, two days before his murder, and described the human as a slender, reddish hair woman, whose beauty "eclipsed the brightest jewels that have been found or will ever be found". He has seen this woman since and has shown frustration with his security, saying that they were interrupting his time with her. On the night he was killed, he was found naked on his bed, eyes open, with a single knife wound in his chest, and traces of qualix snake poison (one of the slowest but extremely deadly poisonous land animals that lives in Iboken) found in his blood. Many speculate that he died a slow and painful death, and the attacker fled shortly after.   After Jamal's death, Nomad and her friends became the head of the Malkadan, reformed the syndicate, and remained in Hush, a symbol of how quietly their victims died and a homage to their friend whose nickname was Hush. Due to her leadership and her friend's management skills, they expanded their operations beyond the desert, gaining even more contracts than before, with bases of operations reaching places like the Ishmatal and even Xendir. To this day, the Hushed is still going strong and is the most feared criminal organization of all of Eden.

Foreign Relations

Many of the states fear The Hushed, as anyone could be their target, and often punish those who are found to be dealing with them. On the other hand, many powerful figures across the world often use their services, as it would be better to have them do the dirty work.

Laws

The Hushed has only two rules:
  1. Fulfill the contract (unless it is rendered null and void) by any means nesscacary
  2. Never betray The Hushed
Agents within are expected to adhere to these rules or face being kicked out and killed by the organization. If another agent is aware of the violation of the rules, they must either kill the offender or bring their transgression to the higher-ups.
