Nuada
(a.k.a. The Silver Hand)
Nuada of the Silver Hand is the son of Silvanus and Brigantia, and the grandson of The Daghda. In Laurentian tradition, Nuada is the god of war and warriors and his brothers are Belenus and Oghma, Diancecht, and Goibhnu. Depending on the certain culture, Nuada is sometimes considered the husband to Morrigan; and to the Rheged, he is the equivalent of their war god Tiwaz. In Laurentian myths, when the Fomorians were invading the continent from the sea, Nuada came down to the mortal realm to do battle with the giants and lost part of his arm. After the battle he went back to Avalon where his brother Diancecht, made him a magical prosthetic silver arm. From that point forward, Nuada was forever known as the Silver Hand.
