Morrigan
Morrigan is the Laurentian goddess of war and battle. The main aspects of war that Morrigan encompasses, is foretelling doom, death, or victory on the battlefield. She has been known to inspire warriors to triumph over their enemies, encourage brave deeds, and strike fear into the hearts of her enemies. Crows are known to be her eyes and ears throughout the world as she often takes the shape of crow when surveying the carnage of battle. In ancient times there were reported sightings of the goddess washing the blood stained clothes of those destined to die. In certain areas she is also sometimes associated with fertility.
The war goddess is also the daughter of Arawn, the god of death. This has given her a mixed reputation of both fear and adoration among her followers. In some cultures she is also the wife or consort of the war god Nuada. It isn't clear though if the pair are actually wed or just lovers. She is often portrayed as a beautiful and alluring woman with long dark hair typically wielding a spear and with bloody hands.
