Manannan mac Lir
Manannan mac Lir is the son of the war god Nuada and a mysterious individual named Lir. It isn't clear of Lir was a mortal or some ancient goddess. Her origins are highly debated among scholars. He is the god of the sea and father to the god Lugh. Manannan mac Lir traverses the oceans on a chariot drawn by horses made of sea foam. He also possesses a self sailing boat named Wave Sweeper, and he was also the original owner of the sword Fragarach (the Answerer). This sword he eventually gifted to his son Lugh. In Laurentian tradition he is known to be benevolent, fierce when provoked, and a bit of a trickster all at the same time. He is also responsible for ferrying the souls of the dead to the afterlife to be ruled by Arawn.
