Mines of Megar

The Mines of Megar are older, more extensive, and deeper than anyone can possibly know. The entire city is underground, including extensive mushroom farms and spider ranches in disused, mined out, galleries.

The most notable location in the city is the massive cathedral of Megar dedicated to the Innocent Delpha. This free-standing stone and iron cathedral nearly fills the largest gallery. The entire quadrant of Megar city around the cathedral is aimed at serving pilgrims who want to visit the birthplace of Delpha.

Security around the mine entrances has been tightened in recent decades to prevent civilian pilgrims from getting themselves lost in the mines in an effort to recreate the conditions surrounding Delpha's prophetic uplifting.

Despite millennia of exploitation, the Mines of Megar have never been exhausted. Rivers of Iron, Silver, Gold, and more exotic minerals flow out of the Mines into the forges of Spatha.
