Errata
Originally a Katon Empire shipwreck, Errata is a village in a sheltered cove on the southern coast of the Pellan Peninsula. Shipwreck survivors befriended local Pellan tribesmen and established a temporary village on the beach using materials collected from the shipwreck itself. During the four year unplanned exile the survivors went fully native, having intermarried with the locals and building their own families.
Coincidentally, these same survivors in that time, found great wealth of silver that the natives had been collecting and exploiting. These natives were absolutely bedecked in silver adornments. When the Katon finally 'rescued' the sailors it immediately became a point of contention. Fortunately (more or less), the fleet that showed up to 'rescue' the lost sailors was the last Katon escape convoy fleeing Philippa and Katon had no interest in throwing resources towards the exploitation of these natives.
The same could not be said for Theba. A few years after the Katon exodus Theba sent an expedition to Errata. Within a decade the Katons and natives were essentially displaced by Theban settlers.
Today Errata is a small, but very wealthy village with a lucrative silver trade. The village itself is almost entirely on the beach and a small peninsula in the cove.
In order to pacify the locals that didn't want to assimilate Theba has also built a fortress, colloquially called The Mint, on a prominent hill near the village that commands the entire cove and the sea approaches to the village.
