Vulkran, God of Fire and Destruction

Vulkran is the embodiment of fire's dual nature — a force of creation and destruction. He is revered as both a purifier and a harbinger of ruin. Where his flames burn, they leave behind the ashes of the old, but from those ashes, new growth can arise. Followers of Vulkran see destruction as a necessary step for progress, for only by breaking down the old can the new be forged. His presence is often marked by volcanic eruptions, wildfires, and sudden acts of destruction that seem both random and fated.

Tenets of Faith

  1. Destruction Breeds Creation: Destruction is not an end but a beginning. From ashes, new life arises. Followers are encouraged to view loss as an opportunity for growth.
  2. Embrace the Flame Within: Fire symbolizes passion and power. Followers believe in harnessing their inner "fire," be it rage, creativity, or ambition, to achieve greatness.
  3. Nothing is Eternal: Everything must end. Stagnation leads to rot. Just as nature burns away the dead forest to make way for the new, so too must the faithful purge what is old and weak.
  4. Strength Through Strife: Hardship and conflict are sacred. A life of ease leads to softness, while only fire can temper steel.
  5. Burn Away Deception: Truth is revealed through destruction. Lies and falsehoods are like dry leaves — they burn quickly when exposed to flame.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

  • The Eternal Cycle: Vulkran seeks to ensure that no form of existence — mortal empires, divine power, or even himself — remains unchallenged or unbroken for too long. This ensures a constant cycle of change and transformation.
  • The Great Conflagration: While most of his followers see destruction as a precursor to rebirth, there is a more esoteric prophecy among his cults of a "Final Flame" — a firestorm that will consume all existence, from which a new, perfect reality will emerge.
  • Purge of Stagnation: Vulkran abhors stagnation. When a society, philosophy, or structure becomes too entrenched, he often sends signs — wildfires, volcanic eruptions, or sudden, cataclysmic change — to remind mortals of the truth of impermanence.
