The Order of the Still Mind
Serena’s followers, known as The Order of the Still Mind, are healers, monks, and wandering peacekeepers who walk the world as silent beacons of her will. Unlike many faiths, they do not seek converts through speech or persuasion. Instead, they offer their presence, their silence, and their aid—allowing those who suffer to come to them when they are ready.
The Order holds few formal temples, preferring secluded monasteries, hidden sanctuaries, or simple gardens where the wounded may find respite. Their holy places are defined not by walls, but by the absence of suffering.
Tenets of the Order of the Still Mind:
- Silence is not absence, but presence. Words are not always needed; understanding can come in stillness.
- Peace is a fire that must be tended. It is not passivity, but a force that must be cultivated and defended.
- To heal, one must listen. Not just to words, but to the quiet truths that lie beneath them.
- Solitude is a gift, not a curse. There is strength in stillness, and clarity in isolation.
- Silence can protect, but it can also judge. The voice that causes harm is undeserving of its own echo.
