The Lucid Circle

The followers of Somnius, known as The Lucid Circle, are an order of dreamwalkers, seers, and poets. They believe that understanding the world requires walking the boundary between sleep and wakefulness. Many of their rituals involve meditation, trance states, or controlled dreaming, and they are often called upon to interpret visions or guide others through the realm of dreams. The most devoted among them, called Oneiric Sages, can enter a deep dream-trance, allowing them to walk the border of The Infinite Reverie while still awake. Some train to master the art of lucid dreaming, believing that controlling one's dreams is akin to mastering one's fate. The Lucid Circle is known for their ethereal, almost detached nature, as if they are never fully present in the waking world. Their temples are quiet, filled with soft cushions, flowing tapestries, and incense that induces a dreamlike state. In contrast, their sacred rituals can be vivid and wild, invoking shared dreamscapes where entire congregations experience visions together.
