Forced Stellar Collapse

Introduction   Forced stellar collapse is the act of collapsing a star into a black hole prematurely and artificially. It is done with a combination of artificial gravity, Plane Gliding, and Time Distortion.   Usage   Forced stellar collapse is no longer used today but was widely used during the High Precursor Era. It was almost exclusively used to collect singularities, an infinitely small and dense point that comprised the mass of a black hole. Once the star was collapsed, artificial gravity reduced the gravitational pull of the black hole to a negligible amount, leaving a singularity without an event horizon (the black part of the black hole). The naked singularity was then harvested to be used elsewhere. These singularities were commonly used to power Singularity Drives.
