Wizards of Wine

Wine is the lifeblood of the Barovian people. It is one of the only indulgences left to them. Without it, many Barovian's would lose their last shred of hope and succumb to utter despair. Before the miraculous Blood, even mighty Vallaki relied heavily on wine as a pleasure. Even now, with the creation of the Blood Church and the rise in narcotics, wine continues to be a staple among the people of Vallaki, keenly the nobility. 

Most of Barovia's wine comes from two sources: Trade from outside, which has all but ceased, and the Wizards of Wine and its vineyard. Owned by the Martikov family, the winery is known for three wines: the unremarkable Purple Grapemash No. 3, the slightly more tantalizing Red Dragon Crush, and the rich Champagne du le Stomp. Ten years ago, however, the Champagne du le Stomp completely stopped production; and now has become a incredibly rare and valuable collector item.
