Fauna & Flora

There are rumours of giant worms, insect-like creatures and winged beasts dwelling within the desert, it is unknown how accurate those rumours are.

Natural Resources

Strange glass. Large hard caripaces. Uniquie animal hides, talons and horns.

History

Herthan's Fall has always been dangerous for mortals even during the age of Dominion, not just due to the constant storms but also the powerful creatures that are rumoured to dwell within.   During the early years of the age of Renewal King Herthan Ferlesk, ruler of the newly formed realm of Fersk, had moved his family to a newly settled town near the border of the desert. Late one night, while he was out with his council, the town was attacked by unknown creatures, they slaughtered many people including the King's wife and children before retreating back to the wastes. Filled with grief and rage Herthan spent the next few weeks assembling every able bodied person within his small kingdom before leading a vengeful charge into the endless desert. None of the soldiers of Fersk or the King himself were seen again, from that day forth the desert has been known as Herthan's Fall to remind those who venture to it of it's danger.

Tourism

None, due to it's hazardous nature and difficult accessibility it is rarely if ever visited. Rumours of dangerous beasts and trecherous terrain disuade many adventurers, those that do venture rarely return.   There are however travelling merchants that claim to hail from these lands, these caravans stop by major settlements every few months with unique resources for trade. Those who try to follow these traders often lose them as they enter the desert.
