Aureon (Ore-eon)

God of Truth, Knowledge and Law, Aureon rules the domain of Truth for he seeks to understand all there is to know, in every realm across every plane, all knowledge is his truth.   While the other gods were busy crafting and forging the mortal world Aureon was learning, studying everything that is, has been and will be, finding the truth amongst the chaos that is the multiverse. It wasn't until mortals began to seek for knowledge of their own that he began to take an interest in what his siblings had created, he became fascinated in their own quest, these creatures with such short life spans, creatures doomed to never know even a hint of what he did, were so driven to find knowledge. It was respectable. Aureon began to speak, offering knowledge to those dedicated enough to search for it, teaching them ways of uncovering it themselves, finding the truth hidden in everything, granting access to the secret energy all around them, to his magic.   It was then that Lolth's presence began to interfere, corrupting his disciples and turning them against each other. The mortals began to missuse their gifts, their knowledge, turning them against each other and tainting them in the most vile way, tainting them with deceit and trickery. Both sadened and enraged at the betrayal Aureon shut himself off from the mortals, limiting their connection to his knowledge and magic before turning on Lolth herself. Using his vast intellect he bound and banished the deity to a realm he had only visited briefly, the Hells, where she could never direcly interefere with him again.   Since that day Aureon has kept himself distant from the both the other Gods and the mortals he once loved, now only spending his time in his own realm studying and learning by himself. His followers, although few and not common, often follow his lead, dedicating themselves to the pursuit of knowledge and truth in isolation. Many of these followers become wizards and scholars, creatures obsessed with their search.
