Once the bastion of civilization, Dawnstar was the worldwide capitol of art, culture, music, religion, science, and transcendence. A pluralistic society founded originally by dragonborn, this city was destroyed decades ago. The destruction was so quick and unexpected, no one seems to know for certain what exactly happened, though the prevailing theory involves an ancient red dragon who awoke from somewhere in the nearby mountains.
