Ulen Allanar

Crafted from the iron ore and black stone quarries of the Northern Reach, Ulen Allanar is the definition of fortress city. The great wall of Allanar stretches from the coast of the Dala Thombre river in the center of the western coast. The city itself is constructed in a circular pattern on either side of the great wall, near its center, with smaller outpost villages being built along either side of the massive construction, in both directions towards the wall's end. This construction is to allow the populous to take up residence in whichever half of the wall is no under siege during potential conflicts. The concentric circles of the town proper's walls distribute enemy forces to allow archers and anti-siege weapons access to greater numbers of forces. The wall itself stands nearly one-hundred feet high, making scaling difficult using siege equipment. The walls of the cities fall nearly half the height of the primary wall, and serve more as a city defense .
Ulen Allanar finished construction at the height of the Hallowing War, after the repelling of Unhallowed forces in 1241 back to the Northern Reach. Though, the project had begun before the Unhallowed began their march south. Hallowed forces from the northern kingdoms held off the primary demonic assault while the massive construction project was completed by the elves and dwarves of the Northern Reach. Completion of Ulen Allenar provided a much needed respite for the rest of the coastal kingdoms, allowing hallowed forces to recoup losses over the next eight years.

Government

The government of Ullen Allanar involves a more militaristic hierarchy. Members of the community, after the end of a period of fifteen years of military services can be nominated by committees of citizens to take on more prestigious governmental titles. The Governor of Ullen Allanar has typically served a prolonged military career, with several prominent victories or achievements to boast about. Ranks below the Governor have often performed well in niche specialties within military offices or positions.

Defences

The most recognizable defense of Ullen Allanar is the ancient black stone wall that runs from the waters of the Coast, to the great river of Dala Thombre. The wall is several meters thick, and provides a blockade between the northern reaches and the southern coastal kingdoms.
