Sealing Ceremony
The Sealing Ceremony is performed only by the High Brother of the Brotherhood of Seven. When a new artifact or relic, deemed too dangerous to be permitted to exist within the world, is brought to Hammerhenge Island it is sealed deep within the Vault of the Keep of the Seven. When an item is to be sealed, all available members of the Brotherhood converge on the main staircase that leads into the side of Mount Arrakki. The High Brother speaks the magical phrase and the great cold iron doors to the mountain unlock and open. Inside, The Vault appears barren, as nothing more than a simple stone hallway leading to nowhere. The High Brother will locate a single stone, somewhere along the hallway--no one knows why he selects one stone over another--and will place his hand over it. He whispers an incantation, eyes closed, and the stones of the wall begin to shuffle away, folding in on themselves like a desk of cards shuffled together. Behind the threshold, is a room perfectly sized to the contents of the room. The object is placed on a mount or shelf somewhere in the room which magically appears to hold the object. Most of the time, when the High Brother opens the room, there is a different room that appears with different contents.
Participants
All available members of the Brotherhood attend a sealing ceremony. This is done to verify that the object is secured in the Vault.
