Ilieon (Ill-lee-on)

The ilieon is a hulking beast, with the body of a massive lion, and long elephant-like tusks that extend out from its jawbone. These creatures can often be found as mounts by nomads across the Ballock Desert Lands. These creatures typically have massive golden manes, which reflect the sun with a deep glow as a result. Often, onlookers will mistake this glow for a golden halo circling the ilieon's neck. As a result, most cultures of the Ballock Desert Lands consider ilieons to be of hallowed origin, and divine. They are considered to be symbols of flames, rebirth, and power. In the wild, ilieons will often be found in small prides of five to six, typically with one to two males (and alpha, and beta male) and a harem of females.
