Eddamjor

The eddamjor is a cow-like creature venerated in the Winter Lands of Emmeron. These animals appear with a thick wool-like fur and massive black horns. The peoples of the Winter Lands consider the eddamjor a crucial part of the creation of the world and believe that these creatures fed the gods that formed the earth beneath Vilnar. Often, villages will keep small herds of eddamjor to show respect to their creators. Whether the masses truly believe this, or whether it has persisted through tradition only, those who keep eddamjor as livestock will consume their milk each morning, believing that it will help them become as strong as the gods.
