Skyblades

Skyblades is an aerial jousting competition. In a formal skyblades match, the goal is to knock an opposing rider from the saddle – attacks against mounts are forbidden, along with the use of magic or other supernatural abilities. Skyblades jousters typically ride hippogriffs and carry blunted lances that deal nonlethal damage. Hobbyists and intramural participants often use artificer-crafted hippogryphs. ICL League matches use live hippogryphs.
