Mythology & Lore
Chimera Symbolism: The Chimera, a creature made of multiple animals, is often seen as a monstrous blend of different mythological symbols. It represents the idea of the convergence of diverse histories, cultures, and mythologies into a single, complex narrative. Its body is a blend of elements, making it a symbol of the blending of different cultures and histories, especially those shaped by war and conflict. The Chimera symbolizes the blending of different aspects of history and culture that the college seeks to study—how various peoples, religions, and civilizations have shaped the world’s history. Its multifaceted nature would reflect the school’s focus on examining and understanding the varied and complex narratives of ancient times, war, and myth…would symbolize both the dangers of the past and the knowledge gleaned from ancient conflict.
