The Arachni - Race

The Arachni people are a primitive race, newly developed within the world of Eberon. They primarily breed and home themselves within Hive structures within very warm regions. Often preferring to create their Hives within active Volcanic areas in-order to facilitate the optimal temperatures for their eggs to hatch and thrive.
The race believes in their shamanic form of magic, often giving high priority of their Shamans. When a new Arachni hatches from its egg they are feed and left for a year to survive for itself with no influence from the adults of the race. After this period of youth the survivors are gathered in a "ceremony of the names".
The species breeds primarily through the Brood Mothers of the race, these prized Arachni have been the subject of tribal wars in the past when one tribe runs out of viable Brood Mothers for breeding. The Race is therefore primarily born male with only about 5% of the race being born female.
