Ceremony of the names

The Arachni Ceremony of the Names is their coming of age rite undertaken by the Elder Sharman of the tribe. Taking each Arachni who has survived its year of no assistance from the Hive in turn and attempting to use Sharmanic magics to divine if he will have a future of note. Only if they have a noteworthy future will they be granted a name, then inscribing the name on the walls of their hive cavern. All unnamed Arachni are left to go about their business in service to the Hive as best they can. At this point all surviving females are simply taken away to become Brood Mothers for the tribe.
