The elven city, located in the Forest of S'ren, was the site of one of the bravest stands of the Great War. It was early in the war and the elves were holding their own against the dwarves without the help from the humans, yet this battle took them by surprise.

It was such a surprise mainly because normally the dwarves wouldn't be able to reach the tree cities with their Geratanks. They had improved the style of their main tanks and the slimmer TNK 7 rolled over the trees and through the larger gaps and assaulted the city. It was so incredulous that the capital of Lyl refused to believe that they were under attack, fearing a ruse. It took over a tenday to start sending reserves to the beleaguered city.

Siege

The fifteen days of battle was was one for the stories, and indeed most bards know the words to this inspiring battle. Even dwarves, to this day, commend the elven forces for holding their own against superior forces. The magus's spells and the unrelenting spears of the Kemin riders kept the dwarves from advancing too far into the tree city, it was a back and forth battle, with each side gaining them losing ground. Salen was there, always in the front and is credited with taking out at least three TNK 7's singlehandedly, as well as saving three families that never got out in time. In the end, reinforcements came and routed the remaining dwarves and this battle is cited as the final straw for the dwarven council to vote for the go ahead on the clockwork assassins.
