Grenan Orcs

Written by Salen

Orcs are stronger than the other races, have more stamina, and are resilient to most diseases. They also breed far quicker than even humans, and typically come to maturity at the age of 11. There are two types of Orc, the Grenan, and the Gralen. These two types lived in harmony before Star Fall, but after the destruction ripped the continents asunder, they found themselves warring with each other for dominance. Today the two subraces of orcs have entered into a kind of truce where they fight with slaves rather than each other.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

All Orcs have tusks that grow out of their mouths. The Grenan have shorter tusks than their gray skinned cousins and often file them to make them sharp.

Civilization and Culture

Average Technological Level

Though orcs of any subrace know of technology and have no qualms about using it, they have a hard time adapting their large fingers around most of it. The dwarven slaves have created some of the new clockwork machines that the orcs use a bit larger nowadays.

History

The Grenan orcs were an offshoot of orc that sprang up before Star Fall. No one remembers why or how the two subraces came to be, but one conjecture is that an orc bred with a hapless sea creature and gained the green skin tone. Of course the other side says that's what happened to the Gralen's as well, so it's probably just a myth.
