Marriage

The Uggrfyolth of Venfros enter open conflict with the Norskolt settlers of Aedenhal. Conflict is ended by marriage between King Aeden the Eternal and The Ice Queen.

The Veddehjaldr occurred as a result of the settlement of Aedenhal by the Norskolt. Though Aedenhal was largely uninhabitated, the region of Venfros had long been home to a strange matriarchal culture of sorcerers who were initially openly hostile to the settlers.   The Veddehjaldr was a short conflict with few organized battles which ended with the marriage of The Ice Queen to King Aeden, resulting in a personal union between the two nations. This marriage continues to this day, and any who take on the respective roles of the Ice Queen or Eternal King are required to marry. "Veddehjladr" literally translates to "Wedding Battle."   Despite this union, both peoples almost religiously adhere to the doctrine that the Ice Queen rules the mountains and the Eternal King rules the plains.
