The Brothers War was a bloody conflict between the Norskolt (as well as Fors and Fyrans) and Gults.
Despite its name, it was known for grave war crimes on both sides, including the razing of Barisea. This caused a retreat from the islands by surviving Norskolt settlers, who circled all the world to colonize Aedenhal.
