Taking the example of Montbay, Devania began to work towards its own independence from Delos'Nordan.
Due to the pressures of the Strife across Pharos, however, Devania attempted a more cordial approach, and arranged a dramatic expansion of its autonomy in exchange for a military alliance with Delos'Nordan. The High Elves recognized this request and accepted it, though it was later broken in the First Elven War.
