The Thrum

Description

The Thrum is a condition that any who enter Llellekjyma, in Faenor, begin to exhibit if they do not have the ability to shapeshift. It presents itself as a low, periodic hum which grows louder and more frequent, until it sounds as if it were a continually beating drum. At this point, the sufferer generally collapses and loses all control of their actions and thoughts, being transformed into a karo, a thrall to the pocket's inhabitants.
