Red Drip

Description

Red Drip spreads from fungi which primarily grow in swamps and wet caverns. Onset is one day, and the first sign of Red Drip is inflammation of the cuticles and hands; if left untreated, they begin to bleed and swell until the nails blacken and fall off entirely. From there, the hands become a mess of oozing sores, festering and rotting. The infection then spreads up the arms and into the chest, killing the victim. Until the victim dies, they take 1d4 Dex damage and 1d2 Cha damage.
The fungus only typically attacks one hand at a time, making amputation an effective cure. It can also be cured by 2 consecutive saves of Fort DC 18.
