Brainworms
Description
Brainworms is spread by tiny parasites, almost invisible to the naked eye. They are, however, capable of taking down the strongest of animals when massed. They enter the body through contact with an infected host or corpse, especially through open wounds, and then quickly migrate to the brain to reproduce. Onset is 1 day, when senses and intellect will begin to dull, eventually leading to erratic bouts of irrational rage toward other creatures. This is because the worms are trying to spread to another host. Examining their brains will reveal a living carpet of thousands of tiny parasites. Brainworms causes 1d3 Wis and 1d3 Int damage every day, and, if damaged in combat, make a second Fort save or gain the Confused condition for the encounter. A DC 14 Fort save, passed twice, will cure the illness.
