Demographics

The majority of Kendall's permanent residents are native Deules and Sozles. However, many other ethnicities from Peraquiem and Oparva can be found vacationing in Kendall at any given time.

Defences

The city, resting on the foothills of the PErsevit mountains, make attacking the city difficult from the south. Therefore, the only way to invade would be the ocean, which is guarded by the Deule navy. The Deule air base holds squadrons of fighter planes, as well as a missile defense system.

Industry & Trade

Kendall has a massive tourist industry, as people flock to Kendall to enjoy it's environment and beaches. The Kendall port is a major center of trade, as many goods pass through it. Kendall has several military arms factories, as well as car factories. Fishing is another important industry that has fed Kendall for centuries.

Infrastructure

Kendall has many hotels and resorts to cater to tourists visiting Kendall. As it is the Capital of Deule, many government building are found in Kendall, such as the President's residence is in the city, the Congress, and the military command center.

Assets

The national treasury, which is responsible for minting and storing the Deule dollar, is located in Kendall. The national military academy is headquartered in Kendall as well. It is in charge of training soldiers for the Deule military.

History

Kendall was first settled around the 1000's by Deules. It was a center for fishing and farming, ruled by various kings. In the mid 1300's, Kendall was captured by the growing Bickutus empire. The ruling king, so impressed by its natural beauty, declared the city to be the new capital. Kendall became the seat of government for the next two centuries. Upon the collapse of Bickutus, the new kingdom of Deule adopted the city as its capital. It remained this way, undergoing expansion and industrialization until its destruction after Deule lost WWI. Deule rebuilt the city, and the tourism industry was a large influence for its newer, extravagant buildings.

Architecture

Deule has modern, luxurious hotels. The Sheek style, first popularized in Smithinia, was used to emphasize luxury and sophistication in its tourism buildings, characterized by using extravagant materials such as marble, columns, and a variety of geometric patterns. Business towers use a more simplistic, modern style.

Geography

The city proper is on relatively flat, once marshy plains. It rests in front of the low, lush Persevit mountains. Kendall has many beaches, and sits on the Bermion ocean.
