Demographics

The majority of the population is white. Small Arabian and Cadel enclaves exist in the country. Much of the city is very wealthy or members of the middle class.

Government

Fulment is governed like any other strong-mayor lead city in the GSE. A mayor is elected at regular intervals, and presides over an elected city council, who governs the various services of the city. As Fulment is an independent city-state separate from a state, it is therefore entitled to two of its own seats in the house of Commons.

Industry & Trade

Many large and wealthy people do business in Fulment. Senators and Representatives live in Fulment. Fulment, also being the center for the ministry, finds many lawyers, judges, bailiffs, and other law enforcement workers hold jobs in Fulment. Other large employers include staff and executives for Fulment's massive retail base. Several large retail companies have stores in Fulment, selling various luxury clothes, personal items, and household products. Other corporate positions are based in Fulment, such as the DMC and other large companies Fulment itself employs many municipal workers to maintain the city and its public services.

Infrastructure

Fulment is a huge, modern city, with upwards of ninety story tall buildings for residential and commercial purposes. Many host the headquarters or regional officer of massive corporations, and other buildings maintain important financial centers, which Fulment is a hub for. Fulment is famously known for its streamlined and punctual rail service, used by both public transit and shipping purposes. Fulment, due to its place along the Rothebiens River, has a large port that serves as a shipping center for the city.

Assets

As Fulment is home to the seat of Government of the GSE, the capitol building, where the legislature meets, is located in the city. The Fulment Mint is also situated in the city proper.

Guilds and Factions

The Church of Crestentin is the most practiced religion in the GSE, as well as the capital. The Cathedral of Fulment, commissioned by King Edward I, is located in the city.

History

Fulment first came into existence in the mid 1400's as a colonial city of Ostedia. Due to its position on the Rothebiens river, Fulment grew rapidly as a hub for lumber and other natural resources being funneled through Fulment from the wild provinces and shipped west to Serdanch. Following the revolt of the colonies and the subsequent succession,Fulment, due to its central location and a hub of business, was chosen as the country's capital in 1495.

Geography

Fulment is built on a relitively flat land that borders the wide, deep, and calm Rothebiens River which the city has been built around. The land is very stable, but due to extreme overdevelopment, it is covered by the city. It is surrounded by tall forests, though most have been removed for suburban and agricultural purposes.
