Glimmer

What is the most prolific drug in your world? How did it come to be and what does it do? Down a dark alley sits a women dressed only in a heavy coat. She sways back and forth humming a bouncing melody that seems so familiar but you can't quite place it. She sits in a puddle of liquid waste from the nearby dumpsters but doesn't seem to mind the smell or feeling. You make your way to her to offer assistance but once you see her face you turn and leave the alley behind. Her face contorted into a wide smile, matched with a star shaped pupil set against a rainbow iris told you everything you need to know. Anther victims of glimmer and there's nothing you can do.
Glimmer saw its rise a number of years ago. Once a pill that could be acquired from your local pharmacy for a minimal cost, that promised positive confidence in order to be the best you. The pill, Rychi, was a moderate success but nothing more. Then one day Tsukino 18 obtained knowledge of its production. Soon they flooded in underworld with what they called. Glimmer. With just a small hit of glimmer you would have the courage to handle anything from stealing cars to performing hits. But that wasn't all it also provided a sense of euphoria in higher doses seemingly blocking out any negative stimuli from users. The problem was that most users couldn't handle coming down driving them to dowhatever it took to obtain more Glimmer. 
Those that abuse Glimmer the hardest get telltale signs of their wrapped perfection of reality. as their eyes literally transform. The Iris gains a rainbow of prismatic hue and the pupil seems to shatter into a star pattern. 
Despite the dramatic effects it has on its users there have no zero known cased of overdosing with Glimmer although fatalities involving users are quite high.
