Horned King Viper
Cerastes
The horned king viper is a venomous member of the Viperidae family, and one that is speculated to be related to the cerastes genus of vipers found in Northern Africa. The horned king viper, much like it's African cousins, is easily identifiable by the pair of large horns over each eye on the top of the head. However unlike their cousins, the horns of the horned king viper extend much longer, often being up to 5-6cm in length. The horned king viper lives primarily in the eastern highland regions of Juland, and is well suited for rough terrain as well as large stretches of sand.
Despite their comparative size to other predators, the horned king viper is one of the most venomous creatures with the Vernean Cavern. It is believed that this is due to many of their prey animals are far more agile than most, and as such the viper's venom needs to act quickly in order to keep their target from escaping.
