Leprechaun

Basic Information

Biological Traits

Leprechauns are notably short, though not as short as pixies and gnomes-- although the latter depends on region.

Much like satyrs, it was once widely believed that Leprechauns were a male-only species and that pixies were their female counterparts. This might have been voluntary of the leprechauns, however. During the height of colonization of the Irish isles by the British empire, several fae would hide their families.

Additional Information

Geographic Origin and Distribution

Leprechauns, while mainly found in Ireland, are distributed across the British isles, in the US and Canada. Usually, if there is some sort of Irish presence somewhere (typically trough immigration), odds are there will be a small community of Leprechauns as well.

Average Intelligence

They have human-like intelligence, though can be debated on. Leprechauns live thrice as long as humans, and are usually regarded as wise and of good counsel.
